Core Expertise

Financial management and cost systems

All our other services are built on this foundation. One analytical discipline runs from balance-sheet structure to SKU-level pricing.

Consulting

Corporate Financial Management & Cost Engineering

The credit-analysis discipline of corporate banking is applied to your company's own financial architecture: cash cycle, cost structure and pricing come together in a single model.

  • Cash flow forecasting and monitoring systems (13-week rolling forecast)
  • Multi-level BOM and hybrid overhead allocation
  • Reverse-margin (target-price-back) pricing models
  • IFRS-based analysis and valuation (DCF, multiples)
  • Credit structuring and bank relationship management

E-Commerce

E-Commerce Profitability Consulting

The reverse-margin methodology is applied to marketplace commissions, shipping bands and campaign mechanics — true net profitability becomes visible at the SKU level.

International Trade

Far East Sourcing & Trading Intermediation

The same cost discipline is applied to the supply chain — landed cost, financing cost and currency risk are all clear before the order is placed.

Case in Practice

A case summary from the field

The company name is withheld for confidentiality; the process and approach are drawn from a real project.

Case Summary Sector: Construction & Contracting
Challenge

At a contracting firm running multiple projects, there was almost no project-level financial visibility:

  • Progress-billing invoices couldn't be tracked by project; billed and collected amounts weren't separated
  • It wasn't visible how much was spent on which project — costs were pooled in general accounting without project breakdown
  • When asked about any project's current profitability, no clear, fast answer could be given
  • Cash flow was forecast only company-wide and irregularly; project-level cash needs weren't planned separately
  • Bank credit limits were tracked as a single company-wide figure; installment credit risk was never included, and limits couldn't be allocated by project
  • There was no consolidated financial analysis to present to partners or management — every question meant searching a separate spreadsheet again
Approach

We moved the cash flow, bank risk, budget and progress-billing modules into a single consolidated system, broken down by project:

  • Progress-billing module: tracks each project's invoices by project, separating billed from collected
  • Project-level cost and profit: expenses and revenue are split by project, making each project's current profitability visible instantly
  • Cash flow module: projects project-level cash needs alongside a company-wide consolidated view
  • Banking module: integrated installment credit risk into bank limit calculations; limits can now be tracked by project too
  • Consolidated dashboard: all this data comes together on one summary screen — no separate report needed for partner or management presentations
Result

The Opti AI panel addressed all of these challenges; the process is still active today:

  • All projects are now tracked together through the panel — project-level profit, cash and limit visibility stays continuously up to date
  • The decision on whether to bid for each new incoming project is now made jointly, based on data from the panel
  • Our financial management experience is applied directly to the process, so points that used to stall now move smoothly
  • Regular meetings and training sessions are held with staff to embed the panel and the financial management approach

What sets OptiFinans apart isn't software alone: it's a genuine financial-engineering approach that combines financial management experience with a banking network.

Akın — OptiFinans Kurucusu
Akın Taylan Alkan, PhD
Founder · OptiFinans

I founded OptiFinans to bring together more than 20 years of corporate experience under one roof: the analytical discipline of the credit committees I sat on in corporate banking, the e-commerce operation I run hands-on, and the Far East sourcing network I built through my own sole proprietorship. I look at your cost, pricing and cash flow decisions from the intersection of these three areas — backed by an AI-powered analytics platform. My PhD research in Financial Economics forms the academic foundation of this view; I brought that background together in my book Vadeye Karşı Kârlılık: Banka Bilançosunun Gizli Dinamikleri (Profitability Against Maturity: The Hidden Dynamics of a Bank's Balance Sheet), on the dynamics of bank profitability.
